🌿January Reflection: A Fresh Start for Ali Watson Photography
January always feels like a quiet exhale – a moment to pause, reset, and look ahead with fresh eyes. After the busyness of the festive season, I love using this time to reflect on the year that’s passed — whether business or personal — and gently prepare for the one unfolding.
This month, I’ve been focusing on something that often gets overlooked when running a small creative business: breathing space. Space to tidy up the behind‑the‑scenes bits, refresh my website, and reconnect with the heart of why I do what I do.
✨ Updating the Website
One of my main January projects has been giving my website a gentle refresh. This past year has been a quieter one for my photography, which has actually given me the space to step back, reflect, and think about the kind of experience I want to offer to families, children, and pets.
I’ve rewritten sections of the site to make everything clearer, warmer, and more helpful for anyone thinking about booking a session. My aim is always to make the whole process feel calm, friendly, and easy from the very first click.
The next step is updating the images, which leads me to…
📸 A Call for New Faces
I’m currently gathering some updated photographs to bring the website fully to life. If you’ve seen my recent model call, you’ll know I’m looking for families, children, dogs, horses, and anyone who enjoys relaxed outdoor portraits.
These sessions are gentle, fun, and completely unhurried – perfect for little ones, energetic pets, or anyone who prefers a natural, authentic style of photography.
If you’re interested in taking part, feel free to send me a message. I’d love to create something beautiful with you.
🌼 Looking Ahead
As the year begins, I’m feeling excited about the sessions to come – the muddy boots, the wagging tails, the giggles, the quiet moments, and the unexpected magic that always seems to appear when people are simply being themselves.
Thank you for being here, for supporting my work, and for sharing your families, your pets, and your stories with me. I can’t wait to see what 2026 brings.
🌿 Freebies
I love making photography feel accessible, relaxed, and enjoyable – long before you ever step in front of the camera. This year, I’m offering freebies in a slightly different way. Instead of free photography sessions, each newsletter will include a collection of helpful guides, tips, and creative resources designed to make your session feel easier and more enjoyable.
Whether you’re planning a family shoot, preparing your dog, or simply looking for inspiration, these freebies are here to support you.
🤝 Community Partners
I love collaborating with local businesses and creative people who share the same values of kindness, connection, and community. From dog trainers and stables to children’s groups, small independent shops, and local businesses, these partnerships help me offer a richer experience to the families and pets I photograph.
Throughout 2026, this is where you’ll find the wonderful people and places I’m proud to work alongside.
Opening Times

Please note: These hours are a general guide to when sessions can be booked. Exact times and availability may vary across both term time and school and bank holidays. For the most up-to-date information, including any changes or extra availability, please check my social media pages or feel free to get in touch directly.
I’ll leave it there for today. Wishing you a gentle start to the season.
