HEY THERE

ALL ABOUT ME

I have always been a keen photographer, taking a range of photographs for my friends and family and my own personal photographs of family members and our beloved furry friends. As well as taking more updated photos, I also enjoy looking through old family photographs too and one of my favorite pastimes is to delve into my family history. It is due to this close family connection, I decided to name the business after my late grandfather. My grandad was always at the heart of our family, and I have fond memories of spending my childhood with him, listening to stories, singing around the dining table and playing various games with him and the rest of the family.

Since leaving school I have studied and followed a career in childcare and education, where I have worked in a range of settings from nurseries to primary schools. Through this time, I have achieved a BA(Hons) Level six in Childcare and Education. Whilst I have enjoyed working within this sector, I have also developed a keen interest in bringing my photography out into the local community.

Alongside the photography I am also working as a Teaching Assistant in a local primary school.

With up to twelve years’ experience of working with children of all ages and their families. I feel I have a range of transferable skills which I can bring to my photography sessions. While providing a service for families of all ages, I draw upon my career experiences to enhance my photography approach and provide a fun and stress-free experience for the whole family.
As well as having a degree in childcare, I also have a NVQ level two in Working with Small Animals and have owned a range of small animals, including reptiles, rodents, dogs and cats.

I have over twenty years of experience with horses through riding lessons and helping out at the local riding schools and have the privilege of owning my own horse. Just like my experience within the childcare sector, I hope to bring my knowledge and understanding from animal ownership to my sessions, to help provide a relaxed and calm approach.

As I am aware all clients and their beloved furry companions are all unique, I will always provide some time before the session starts to introduce myself to the family and their pets, to help develop a comfortable and calm experience for all involved.
In 2021 I completed an online photography course, which covered a range of topics, tricks, tips and assignment-based tasks. As I continue to develop my photography journey, I hope to complete a range of other courses to keep my photography continuing development up to date, including regular first aid training.

Any clients who book a session will receive a welcome email, providing them with more information for the upcoming session, and will be given the opportunity to ask any further questions they may have.

I am currently using a Nikon D7500 camera body, with interchangeable lenses.

I have a current and up-to-date DBS check and I am Paediatric First Aid trained.

I am very much looking forward to meeting future clients and discuss a range of possible photography options available. Please do not hesitate to contact me for more information.
