HEY THERE

My name is Ali, I am based in the Warwickshire area, covering the Leamington, Warwick, Kenilworth, Southam, Stratford-Upon-Avon and some Rugby areas. I provide a natural animal and children/family portrait photography service.

ALL ABOUT ME

I have always been a keen photographer, taking a range of photographs for my friends and family, as well as personal photographs of my own animals. One of my interests is to look through old family photographs and delving into my family history. It is due to this close connection with my family that I have chased to name the business after my late grandad Arthur Watson. My grandfather was always at the heart of our family, and I have fond memories of spending my childhood with him, listening to stories, singing around the dinner table and playing various games with him and the rest of the family. We were particularly fond of outdoor activities such as rounders and cricket and every year we come together as a family in this way to celebrate what would be his birthday.

Since leaving school I have studied and followed a career in childcare and education, where I worked in a range of settings from nurseries to primary schools. Through this I have achieved a BA(Hons) Level six in childcare and education. Whilst I enjoy working within these settings, I have also developed a interest in developing my photography skills further within the community. Whilst working three days a week within a nursery setting I hope to also advance my photography services. Choosing photography as a career seems to be a most natural choice for me at this time as I find great enjoyment behind the lens of a camera, surrounded by animals and people who are close to me.

In 2021 I completed an online photography course, which covered a range of topics, tricks, tips and assignment-based tasks. As I continue to develop my photography journey, I hope to complete a range of other courses to keep my photography continuing development up to date.

As well as having a degree in childcare, I also have a NVQ level 2 in working with small animal care and have owned a range of small animals, including reptiles, rodents, dogs and cats. I also have almost twenty one years’ experience around horses through riding lessons and helping at local riding schools. I have had the privilege of owning my own horse for the past fourteen years.

I am currently using a Nikon D7500 camera, with interchangeable lenses.

I have a current and up-to-date DBS check and I am trained in first aid.

I am very much looking forward to meeting any prospective clients and discussing a range of possible photography options available. Please do not hesitate to contact me for more information.
