My name is Ali, I am based in the Warwickshire area, covering the Leamington, Warwick, Kenilworth, Southam, Stratford-Upon-Avon and some Rugby areas. I provide a natural animal and children/family portrait photography service.
ALL ABOUT ME
I have always been a keen photographer, taking a range of photographs for my friends and family, as well as personal photographs of my own animals. One of my interests is to look through old family photographs and delve into my family history. It is due to this close connection with my family that I have chosen to name my photography business after my late grandfather Arthur Watson. My grandfather was always at the heart of our family, and I have fond memories of spending my childhood with him, listening to stories, singing around the dinner table whilst he played the keyboard or accordion as well as playing various games with him and the rest of the family. We were particularly fond of outdoor activities such as rounders and cricket and every year we come together as a family in this way to celebrate what would be his birthday.
Since leaving school I have studied and followed a career in childcare and education, where I’ve worked in a range of settings from nurseries to primary schools. Through this I have achieved a BA(Hons) Level Six in Childcare and Education. Whilst I enjoy working within this sector, I have also developed an interest in bringing my photography out to the wider community. I am currently working as a TA in a local primary school, which I love, and hope to advance my photography services during evenings, weekends and the school holidays.
Choosing photography seems to be the most natural choice for me at this time as I find great enjoyment behind the lens of a camera, surrounded by animals and people.
In 2021 I completed an online photography course, which covered a range of topics, tricks, tips, and assignment-based tasks. As I continue to develop my photography journey, I hope to complete a range of other courses to keep my photography continuing development up to date.
As well as having a degree in childcare, I also have a NVQ Level Two in Working with Small Animals Care and have owned a range of small animals, including reptiles, rodents, dogs and cats. I also have almost twenty-two years’ experience around horses through riding lessons and helping at local riding schools. I have had the privilege of owning my own horse for the past fifteen years.
When providing my photography service for families with babies and young children, I draw upon my career experiences to enhance my photography approach, to provide a fun and stress free experience for the whole family.
I am currently using a Nikon D7500 camera body, with interchangeable lenses.
I have a current and up-to-date DBS check and I am trained in Paediatric First Aid.
I am very much looking forward to meeting any prospective clients and discussing a range of possible photography options available. Please do not hesitate to contact me for more information.
I will continue to attend and complete a range of photography courses to enhance my photography continual development.
